About River Point Rabun

RIVER POINT RABUN COMMUNITY CHURCH EXISTS
TO LEAD PEOPLE INTO A PERSONAL,
INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST.

Our Story

In 2016, God started leading River Point Community Church in Demorest, Ga to plant a second campus. After much prayer and consideration, Rabun county was the door that God opened for the new campus. In August of 2018 River Point Rabun Community Church had their first gathering and continued to meet every other week at the Clayton Café on Main Street in Clayton.

In January of 2019, God called Caleb Smith to lead the church full time as the Pastor. God continued to bless and grow the church and in September of 2019 we started renovating our current location at 70 Old Livery Street in Clayton. We had our first Sunday morning service in our new building on February 2nd, 2020.

We are Thankful
FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE, AND SERVE THE WORLD IN RABUN COUNTY AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO WHAT GOD IS GOING TO DO THROUGH HIS CHURCH HERE!

About Baptism at River Point

We make Baptism a BIG DEAL because it is!

We believe that baptism is an integral part of our relationship with Christ as it is an outward expression to the church and others of the inward change that takes place through faith and trust in Jesus. We practice baptism through emersion and we do that in our sanctuary using our baptismal. We also like to utilize the abundance of rivers and lakes in Rabun county to do outside baptisms during warmer weather.

Our Philosophy

We believe that to grow in your intimate and relationship with Jesus Christ, it involves these three aspects:

Loving God through experiencing and participating in Worship.

Loving People through intentional community and accountability in an intimate setting.

Serving the World through engagement within the church walls, in our community and around the world.
